What size AIRCAP 1™ fits your Sunbelt hot tub?
Sunbelt has been building hot tubs in Texas since 1979 and sells them through a dealer network under six ranges — Storm, Leisure, Lone Star, SB, the Tubly plug-and-play line and a rental range. Eighteen of its models are square cabinets an AIRCAP 1™ fits, and unusually they cover every one of our six sizes, from the 77" Tubly up to the 94" Andromeda.
Here is how the 18 Sunbelt models in our fitter map to AIRCAP 1™ sizes:
- The Tubly Smart, Tubly Six and Ontario 6 measure 77" x 77" and the LS 500 measures 78" x 78" — all four take the AIRCAP 1™ XX-Small, which fits square spas 77–79".
- The Twister, Aurora, Twister Leisure and Aurora Leisure all measure 81" x 81" and take the AIRCAP 1™ X-Small, which fits square spas 80–82".
- The SB 721 measures 83" x 83" and takes the AIRCAP 1™ Small, which fits square spas 83–85".
- The SB 820 takes the AIRCAP 1™ Medium, which fits square spas 86–88".
- The Typhoon, Monsoon, Typhoon Leisure and Monsoon Leisure all measure 91" x 91", and the LS 800 measures 89" x 89" — all five take the AIRCAP 1™ Large, which fits square spas 89–91".
- The SB 821 and SB 822 measure 93" x 93" and the Andromeda measures 94" x 94" — all three take the AIRCAP 1™ X-Large, which fits square spas 92–94".
Leisure is the same cabinet as Storm. Sunbelt sells four of its Storm shells a second time as the Leisure range, at a lower equipment level — its own factory build sheets give the Twister and Twister Leisure the identical 81" x 81" x 38" and the identical 347-gallon capacity, and the Typhoon and Typhoon Leisure the identical 91" x 91" x 39" and 449 gallons. What changes is the jet count and the pump pack, not the shell. So whichever version you own, the cover is the same size.
LS 900 and LS 950 owners: we cannot help, and here is why. Both are perfect squares at 95" x 95" — one inch past the 94" top of our X-Large. It is the closest miss in our whole fitter, and we would rather say so than sell you a cover an inch short on every side. Sunbelt’s own parts catalogue sells one cover for the pair, which is the right place to go.
A warning about the LS Corona. Sunbelt’s factory build sheet lists it as 93" x 93", which looks like an X-Large. It is not: the Corona is an octagon, and 93" is the width across the flats rather than the side of a square. Sunbelt’s own cover catalogue files it under “Corona / Octagon8”. The same goes for the LS Tranquility, which its cover catalogue files as “Tranquility / Round84”, and the LS Nova at 69.5" round. A square cover will not fit any of the three.
Every AIRCAP 1™ ships with the Ziptech™ modular skirt system, so you can zip on the right skirt depth for your cabinet instead of ordering a custom cover. That earns its keep on this range, whose cabinet heights run from 30" on a Tubly to 39" on a Monsoon.
The other Sunbelt models the AIRCAP 1™ does not fit are all rectangles: the Tornado and Hurricane and their Leisure versions, the LS 400 (78" x 66"), the LS 700 (89" x 78"), the SB 610, the Tubly Fit and Tubly Family, and the Quartet. The five Swim Series models are swim spas, 12 to 16 feet long, and the In-Ground Series is set into decking and has no cabinet for a cover to sit on. The AIRCAP 1™ is built for square cabinets from 77 to 94 inches.
Dimensions are as printed by Sunbelt, taken from its own factory build sheet where one exists rather than from the website, because the two differ on a few models — the build sheet gives the SB 820 as 87" where the website says 86", for instance, though both land in Medium. Cabinet sizes can change between model years, so measure your spa side to side across the top of the cabinet before ordering; the SureFit™ measuring guide walks through it in two measurements. If your measurement falls between two sizes, round up.
