303 Protectant — cleans and protects against UV damage and fading.
Star‑brite RIB Inflatable PVC Cleaner — formulated for PVC and vinyl surfaces.
Non-abrasive dish soap and water — a gentle, everyday alternative.
Important: always use a soft, non-abrasive scrub brush with any of these cleaners. Abrasive brushes, scouring pads and stiff bristles can scratch or damage the cover's surface.
Step-by-step cleaning instructions
Remove debris. Before applying any cleaner, rinse the cover with a hose or wipe away loose dirt, leaves and debris.
Choose your cleaner. Select one of the recommended products above based on what you have on hand and the level of cleaning or protection needed.
Apply the cleaner. If using 303 Protectant or Star‑brite RIB Cleaner, apply according to the product label instructions. If using dish soap, mix a small amount with warm water to create a mild, sudsy solution.
Scrub gently. Using a soft, non-abrasive scrub brush, gently work the cleaner across the surface of the cover in small sections. Avoid excessive pressure.
Rinse thoroughly. Rinse the cover completely with clean water to remove all soap or cleaner residue.
Dry the cover. Allow the cover to air dry fully before closing it back over the hot tub, or wipe it down with a soft, clean towel.
Apply protectant (optional but recommended). If you didn't use 303 Protectant as your primary cleaner, consider applying it as a final step to help guard against sun exposure and material breakdown.
Additional tips
Clean your cover regularly to prevent dirt and grime building up.
Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, bleach or solvents — these can damage the cover material.
Never use a pressure washer. It can force water into the seams or damage the outer shell.
Where possible, keep the cover out of prolonged direct sunlight when it is off the spa, to reduce UV wear.
