American Spas Replacement Hot Tub Covers

What size AIRCAP 1™ fits your American Spas hot tub?

American Spas is the big-box hot tub line from Lloyd's Material Supply Company — the Pomona, California manufacturer behind Cal Spas, another brand in our Spa Fitter — and it has been a Home Depot staple for years, so there are a lot of these square shells on patios. All nine current models fit an AIRCAP 1™.

Here is how the 11 American Spas models in our fitter map to AIRCAP 1™ sizes:

• The dual-voltage AMZ618L measures 78" x 78" and takes the AIRCAP 1™ XX-Small, which fits square spas 77–79".
• The other ten — the current AMZ740B, AMZ740L, AMZ745B, AMZ745L, AMZ756B, AMZ756L, AMZ772L and AMZ772B, and the earlier 100-jet AMZ7100B (AMZ-100B) and AMZ7100L (AMZ-100L) — all measure 84" x 84" (B is the bench layout, L the lounger; the seats and jet counts differ, the footprint doesn't). Each takes the AIRCAP 1™ Small, which fits square spas 83–85".

A data note on the AMZ618L: American Spas' own product page currently shows the 7-foot shell's spec table on this model (84" x 84", listing features the 618 doesn't have), while Home Depot's listing of the same tub — model AM618L — publishes 78" x 78" x 34" with a 340-gallon capacity that matches the tub's own numbers. We list the Home Depot figure. If you own one, two minutes with a tape measure settles it.

Own an AMZ7100B or AMZ7100L? These 100-jet models, also sold as the AMZ-100B and AMZ-100L, are no longer on American Spas' current site. The maker's 2022 drawings and its pre-delivery guide (as the AM-7100B and AM-7100L) give both as 84" x 84" x 36", so they take the Small. Their seats and footwells look different from today's tiles because American Spas has changed its 7-foot interiors since then, but not the footprint. If you are matching a bench model to a photo, look at the filter from the control-panel side: on the 2022–23 bench shells (the AMZ7100B included) it sits in the left-hand wall, and on the 2026 bench shells in the right-hand wall. The 7-foot loungers have the filter in the front right-hand corner on both, so count the jets instead. Whichever you have, the cover size is the same.

Own an earlier AM-series model from Home Depot? The 7-foot family has kept the same 84" x 84" square footprint across generations: the AM-730 models, the Glory (AM-740LSi), the Freedom (AM-740BSi), the Aqua (AM-745LW) and the AM-756 family all measure 84" x 84" and take the same AIRCAP 1™ Small. The following models are not square, so the AIRCAP 1™ doesn't fit them. The AM-630 and AM-637 are 84" x 74", the AM-534 is 64" x 84" (the AM-536L is a similar rectangle), the AM-885L is 84" x 93", the Sahara AM-R630L is 74.5" x 84.5", the AM-418 and AM-420 are 48" x 86" two-person spas, the V418B, V420B and V422B take an 86" x 48" cover, and the AM-1325 and AM-1681 take 93" x 151" and 93" x 200" covers. The AM-628 is a corner triangle, as are the AM-621T and GII-625T, and the AM-511, AM-510R, AM-520R and the Sahara AM-R510R are round.

Own a Sahara AM-R730, or an older AM-750L, AM-770L or AM-790B? Measure first. American Spas and Cal Spas come from the same manufacturer, and some of their model numbers match: a parts dealer lists the Sahara AM-R510R at 76" round and the AM-R630L at 74.5" x 84.5", the same sizes Cal Spas' 2013 brochure prints for its rotomolded Genesis GR510R and GR630L. The same dealer lists the rotomolded Sahara AM-R730L and AM-R730B, which Home Depot sold, at 84.5" square, and Cal's brochure prints its GR730L and GR730B at 83" x 83" for the spa and 84.5" x 84.5" across the top rail. Either figure would take the Small (more than 85" takes the Medium), but we have not seen a photo or drawing that shows the Sahara's outline, so check that yours is square before you order. The AM-750L, AM-770L and AM-790B from about 2013 are less clear-cut. Cal's 2013 brochure prints its X750L and X770L at 84" x 84" for the spa but 91" x 91" across the top rail, which would mean the Large rather than the Small (more than 91" takes the X-Large). Those are 2013 Cal models, not the X-Series tubs listed on our Cal Spas page. The same brochure also prints an A750L at a plain 84" x 84", and we have not confirmed which Cal tub, if any, the American Spas models with those numbers match. We have no size for the AM-790B. If you own one of these, measure across the top of the cabinet before you order; if your measurement falls between two sizes, round up.
