Aquavia Spa Replacement Hot Tub Covers

What size AIRCAP 1™ fits your Aquavia Spa hot tub?

Aquavia Spa hot tubs are made by Iberspa S.L. of Cervera, in Catalonia, Spain, which also builds AstralPool spas for Fluidra, and are sold through dealers in Europe, Africa and Asia. Aquavia specifies its tubs in centimetres; the sizes in our fitter are converted to inches. Twenty-five Aquavia models have square tops that an AIRCAP 1™ fits, counting eight that Aquavia no longer sells: the Lounge, Lounge City, Nice, Aqualife 7, Menorca, Barcelona, Ibiza and the 2016–2019 Wave.

Here is how the 25 Aquavia Spa models in our fitter map to AIRCAP 1™ sizes:

• The Quantum (2020 and later), Aqualife 5 (2020 and later) and Lounge City each take the AIRCAP 1™ XX-Small, which fits square spas 77–79".
• The Essence, Essence Aurora, Soft, Soft Aurora, Feel, Pulse, Touch 5, Touch 5 Pro, Mallorca (2020 and later), Elegant, Nice, Aqualife 7 and Menorca each take the AIRCAP 1™ Small, which fits square spas 83–85".
• The Cube, Cube Ergo and Lounge each take the AIRCAP 1™ Medium, which fits square spas 86–88".
• The Barcelona and Ibiza each take the AIRCAP 1™ Large, which fits square spas 89–91".
• The Velvet, Velvet Aurora, Aqua 8 and Wave (2016–2019) each take the AIRCAP 1™ X-Large, which fits square spas 92–94".

Measure across the lip, where the cover rests. On many Aquavia tubs the acrylic lip overhangs the cabinet panels below it, so a tape across the cabinet reads short.

The 216 cm tubs sit at the top of the Small. Every Small model above except the Elegant is printed at 216 x 216 cm. Aquavia’s drawings dimension the acrylic lip at 2160 mm give or take 10 mm — about 85 inches — so your tape may read up to about 85½"; these tubs still take the Small.

Cube, Cube Ergo and Lounge owners: ignore the printed 231 cm. That is the plinth at the foot of the cabinet. The stepped solid-surface frame above it, where the cover sits, is 2204 mm (87 inches) on Aquavia’s own drawings, so all three take the Medium, not the Large.

Several Aquavia models share a shell. The three Aurora models are the Essence, Soft and Velvet in a textured cabinet that sits flush with the lip, so each takes the same size as the plain model. The Touch 5 Pro is the Touch 5 shell, and the Nice is the Aqualife 7 shell with added air nozzles. The Mallorca, Menorca and Aqua 8 are cabinet-less, built-in versions of the Pulse, Feel and Velvet, so the cover sits on the acrylic lip at deck level; the Aqua 8 sold with a cabinet until about 2019 was printed at the same 233 cm. The Lounge City is the Lounge’s acrylic shell without the Cube frame.

Quantum, Aqualife 5, Mallorca, Wave and Sunset owners: check the year. Before 2020 the Quantum was a different tub printed at 197 x 194 cm and the Aqualife 5 was printed at 198 x 195 cm, both more than an inch out of square, so we list only the 198 cm square versions sold since; measure an older Aqualife 5 both ways. The 2015–2019 Mallorca was a 216 x 198 cm rectangle. Measure a 2019 Quantum or Mallorca before ordering: it could be either version. The Wave launched in December 2015 with a cabinet about 96 inches across, too big for any AIRCAP 1™, and was cut to 2328 mm (92 inches) for orders from July 2016. The Sunset launched alongside it. Aquavia’s 2016–2019 website listings print it at 216 cm, but we found no drawing or usable overhead photo to confirm its size and shape, so it is not in our fitter yet — measure a Sunset before ordering.

Worth checking. Velvet owners: measure across the acrylic lip, about 91½ inches, not the cabinet below it, which is about 90½ inches and would point you to the Large. We have only a small plan of the cabinet Aqua 8 sold until about 2019, so measure one across the lip before ordering. On the current Quantum, dark bench boards along one side stand about an inch above the lip, so the cover rests on them there. The Touch 5 Pro has a stainless bar on one side of the cabinet, about 6 inches below the top of the lip, so make sure the skirt clears it. The Elegant, a stainless built-in overflow spa for professional use, has two headrests about 2 inches above its 211 cm flange and overflow grating in the flange, so the cover rests on the headrests and spans the grating.

Barcelona and Ibiza are one 230 cm square overflow shell; the Ibiza, earlier sold as the Barcelona Commercial, is the version built into the floor for hotels and spas. The rim stands above overflow grates on three sides, with a raised headrest block at the back, so the cover rests on the rim and that block and spans the grates.

Every AIRCAP 1™ ships with the Ziptech™ modular skirt system, so you can zip on the right skirt depth for your cabinet instead of ordering a custom cover.

Not every Aquavia Spa hot tub takes a square cover. The Sundown, Round 2, Capri, Orbion, Martinique, Oasis 40, Bali, Tiled 190 and Tiled 280 are round, as were the retired Rodas, Kish, Oslo, Vulcano, Coliseum and Round 3; older Aquavia menus print some of them as “230 x 230” or “205 x 205”, but those are diameters. The Home Spa, Touch and Touch Pro (unlike the square Touch 5), Suite, Suite 4 Seasons, Hotel Spa, InnoVibe models and Lineon are rectangles, as were the retired Futura, Advance, Aqualife 3, Aqualife 6, Easy Access and Calypso. The Serenity and Tiled 300 are square but too big for any AIRCAP 1™, and the Kauai and Hydra are large professional spas more than 3 metres long. The Tiled 220 sits flush in the floor with no lip for a cover to rest on, and the Amazon, Compact Pool, Duo, Fitness and Sky are swim spas. The retired Origami is printed at the Cube’s 231 cm, but we have no drawing of its top, so measure it before ordering. We have not matched Iberspa’s AstralPool spas to Aquavia models, so measure an AstralPool spa before ordering too. The AIRCAP 1™ is built for square cabinets from 77 to 94 inches.
